Rod Black is a Master Taekwondo Instructor and trains and coaches at the Ringwood Taekwondo and Martial Arts Centre within the Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre. In September 2004 he returned from Athens where he was a Personal Coach to the Australian Olympic Team. Under Rod's guidance, over 80 students have competed in International Competition with much success.

  Numerous players have made the Australian Taekwondo Team and have represented Australia in international competition. As Australian Head Men's Coach, Rod trained many of the male A and B Team members.

Rod was inducted into the Coaches Hall of Fame in 2006.

Ali Rahimi - 5th Dan

Ali is our poomsae and demonstration team instructor in Ringwood. His ambition is to be able to use his professional skills in Taekwondo to teach and guide his students. Ali is a patient, reliable and a very determined teacher. 8 of his students gained membership into the Afghan National Team. Ali has been teaching and coaching in many Australian Tournaments.

Ali will be responsible for the Individual & Team Poomse competition and Demonstration Team Training.

Ali is the Head Instructor of Dandenong. 

Caroline Bartasek 2nd Dan - Olympic Team 2004

Caroline iwas heavily involved with the Teenager classes at Ringwood and coaches the clubs fight competitors.

She was one of Australia's most successful and experienced competitors having been an Australian Team Member for many years and an Olympic Squad Member Sydney 2000 and Olympic Competitor Athens 2004 Olympic Team.

Caroline started Taekwondo as a student at Kingswood College in Boxhill. She then trained at Taekwondo in Wantirna at the King Club and at other Black Taekwondo venues around Melbourne.

Darrell Elton - 3rd Dan

Darrell teaches Taekwondo at Ringwood. He is involved with our adult program and runs a tightly structured adult class.

 

 

Mark Chapple - 3rd Dan

Mark has been training with Black Taekwondo for over 20 years and specializes in self defence training in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

 

 

Ben Lawson-Black - 2nd Dan

Ben is a keen competitior, competiting in neumorous club, state , national and international competitions at a high standard. He runs very intense Under 14 Fight Trainings as well as General Classes. Ben has been training ever since he can remember.

 

Michelle Messig - 2nd Dan

Michelle is part of our children's coaching team and teaches on Wednesday night at our Ringwood Centre.

Rod Tozer - 1st dan

Rod Tozer also teaches at Ringwood and has been with the club for many years and is involved with teaching the teenagers. He is also a regular coach at State and National events

Wendy teaches the Saturday morning Eager Ninjas Classes (Under 4 years old). She is a very enthusiastic person which suits her style of teaching.
