New Timetable for Term 3 available

The Term 3 Timetable is available to download from the website.

New Club Tracksuit

Black Taekwondo has a sample of the club tracksuit at the centre. Come and have a look at it! The tracksuit is embroidered with the BTKD logo and colours - specifically designed for Black Taekwondo (see opposite). We require sizing (Children 4-6, 8, 10, 12, 14) (Adult XS-5XL), email, phone details as well as the full $135 by the 3 July 2009. 

Everyone is welcome to order the 3-piece tracksuit (Jacket, Polo Shirt and Pant). To be included in the first order you must be quick!!!  Email admin@blacktaekwondo.com.au or ph: 0418 330 629 with your order.

Tasmanian Open

Black Taekwondo is sending a team to the Tasmanian Open on the 25-26 July 2009. This is great preparation for the Victorian Championships being held one week later. Members who are interested in competing in this competition please inform reception ASAP. 

Victorian Championships and Victorian Team Selection

The next Victorian Championships will be held on the 1 August 2009 and we have a well prepared team ready to compete and do their very best. The medal winners will be included in the Victorian Team who will compete at the Australian Championships in Brisbane 1 - 4 October 2009.

 

The Victorian Poomsae Team Selection will be held on the 8 August 2009.

Members are asked to put their applications in as soon as they become available through the Victoria Web Site.

VIcTORIAN RESULTS: 15 MAY 2009

BTKD Location

The Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre plans to construct a larger training area that we will be available for expanded classes. Discussions are in progress.

The Ringwood location offers our students better facilities including a cafe, use of basketball courts, a large convenient parking area and permanent and helpful reception staff.

   Korean Trip 2008

Last July BTKD took 8 members to Korea where they competed in 4 different competitions:

1) the 10th World Taekwondo Festival,

2) Korean Classic Open 2008 in Cheongju,

3) the World Taekwondo Cultural Expo (A and B grade competitions) in Muju.

Over the two weeks in Korea the BTKD Team did remarkably well scoring over 15 medals. Team members were:

Rod Black - Coach, Ali Rahimi - International Referee & Poomsae Competitor, Rod Tozer - Poomsae competitor, Luciano Marcuzi - Team Poomsae & Fight Competitor, Ashika Chand - Team Poomsae & Fight Competitor, Ben Lawson-Black - Team Poomsae & Fight Competitor, John Roberts - Team Poomsae & Fight Competitor and Anna-Clare O'Sullivan - Team Poomsae & Fight Competitor.

Black Taekwondo Ringwood is one of the most successful martial arts schools in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and we specialises in Taekwondo and Self Defence

We have a large range of classes from beginners to advanced students, with four levels of children's based on age and skill levels. We have a complete range of classes for teenagers and several levels of classes for adults 18 to 70 years old. 

BlackTaekwondo conducts over 35 classes every week at our Ringwood Centre which is situated the Maroondah Indoor Sports Centre 362 Canterbury Road, with ample and convenient parking. 

Rod Black 7th Dan, the chief instructor, was a personal coach for the Australian Olympic Team, Athens 2004 and recent recipient to the "Coaches Hall of Fame".

Black Taekwondo provides training for members wishing to achieve high levels of martial arts training and though the Million Dollar Body Program - fitness training for people who prefer achieving health and fitness with the dynamic MDB Glove & Bag fitness circuits.
